Booking Services

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of your anticipated total is required two weeks prior to the date of event to secure booking. The remainder of the payment is due 72 hours before the event and failure to submit payment will result in loss of service and the initial deposit will not be refunded. Please choose your order/menu carefully and ensure you have read, asked any relevant questions regarding ingredients or taste, and understand the description of the dishes. While Chow 108 makes every effort to describe all dishes accurately, not every single ingredient is listed. You can request a full description of proposed ingredients in each dish prior to ordering by reaching out via email. Drinks are not automatically included in service. Please specify if you want to add on drinks for an additional price. Payments accepted can be debit/credit, cash, zelle, or cash app. Tips/Gratuities are not included in the cost of services and are left to your discretion. If you’d like to show appreciation of your Chef and their work please feel free to do so.

Menu, Requests, Substitutions

Menus will be communicated and established via email. If you would like to make changes, requests, or substitutions to the menu please communicate via email seven days prior to the event. If communication of changes are not received no later than seven days prior to your event, Chow 108 understands the client has accepted the menu as written and service will be provided as agreed. Before Chow 108 prepares food, a client consultation will be carried out to assess food preference and kitchen equipment availability. Please alert of any food allergies or dietary restrictions upon menu consultation.

Changes and Cancellations

Chow 108 requires a seven day notice of any change in service dates in catering or private chef services. In the event the client needs to cancel the food service, the client is required to give Chow 108 a seven day notice also. Any 1-on-1 cooking lesson session that requires cancellation, Chow 108 must be notified three days prior to service of the event or the client will be charged $100 for food expenses that have already been incurred. In the event the Chef faces any unforeseen circumstance (such as adverse weather conditions, sudden illness, unavailability, or breakdown of equipment or transport) and has to cancel the service or cooking lesson session, the client will be fully reimbursed. This does not include reimbursement for food tasting sessions that have already taken place. Chow 108 is unable to reimburse travel, accommodation, or any other expenses that may incur in relation to the canceled booking.

Fees

Fees and charges are based on menu planning, shopping, prepping and cooking meals, packaging, cleaning up, and delivery. It is also based on the number of meals cooked, the number of servings of each meal, and the complexity of the menu and recipes requested. Fees are also incurred for specialty or difficult to find items. Other fees may be charged to accommodate anything outside this scope of agreement. If the client desires to do a small food tasting prior to their date of service, the client will be charged $80 which will be added onto the total cost. The client and up to one guest are allowed during tasting. There is a $25 fee (up to 40 miles) for all catering deliveries that is added to the total cost also.
